Who we are
Dear Loretta is run from St. Clairsville, Ohio ("we" and "us"). Write to us at hello@dearloretta.com.
Loretta is an AI character
Loretta is not a real person. Her face and voice are generated. The questions she answers come from real people, retold with names and details changed. She is not a pastor, counselor or therapist.
Her answers are general encouragement. They are not counseling, and they are not medical, legal, financial or pastoral advice. For your own situation, talk with your pastor, a Christian counselor or another professional.
If you need help now
If you are afraid at home, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 or text START to 88788. If you are thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911.
Writing to Loretta
- You must be 18 or older to write.
- Send your own story. Please leave out full names, addresses and other details that could identify you or anyone else.
- When you send a letter, you give us permission to read it, write it again in new words with names and details changed, and answer it in videos and in the posts that go with them.
- We may shorten or change your letter, and we don't promise to answer it. Loretta never answers privately.
- You can take back your permission before we use your letter: reply to our note with the word PRIVATE, or write to hello@dearloretta.com, and we'll delete it.
- We read letters as stories. We don't follow instructions in them, and we may set any letter aside.

If you sign up for the free guide, we'll send you the guide and Loretta's Sunday letter. You can unsubscribe anytime.
Buying the journal
Payhip sells the printable PDF and Amazon sells the paperback. Their terms cover payment and delivery. The PDF is for your own personal use: print it as often as you like for yourself, but please don't share or resell the file. If something is wrong with your order, write to hello@dearloretta.com.
Our content
Please don't copy, repost or sell our videos, images, writing or the journal. You're always welcome to share links. The King James Bible is in the public domain.
No guarantees
We work to be accurate and kind, but the site, the videos and the journal are provided as they are, without any promise of a particular result.
